Winter Skin Care Tips

Freezing condition of Germany can cause the skin irritation and dryness. Winter can make even moisturised skin dry. We have convinced ourselves with wearing layers of clothes we can protect our skin from cold conditions. That is not correct as we have to moisturise our skin in winter as well as other seasonal period to keep our skin moisturised and in good condition. Some of the things you could do to protect skin in winter as as follows.

Drink plenty of water so that your body organs do not get dehydrated especially skin being the biggest organ of all. Skin is always moisturised if you drink lots of water daily. When we do activities which makes our body sweat, it is very essential for us to replace the water we have lost through our skin.

Before sleeping apply creams and lotions in your skin. We apply creams throughout the day or before we go to work but sometimes we forget to apply it at nights. Applying cream at night is very important because we do a lot of activities during the day time by which we lose moisture in our skin. when your feet starts getting dry and cracking then your skin is not consuming enough moisture as it should be.

Use humidifiers in your homes as air in the winter can get very dry. The heater is almost on all day long and it can cause drying effect on the skin and nasal passages hence you will see dry blood coming out of your nose every time you blow. To add bits of moisture to the air invest in humidifiers in Germany we call it luftbefeuchter.

Have shower with cold water if you cannot handle the cold water then make it warm but not too warm. I know we all love having shower in hot water in winter but it normally dries our skin,, so it is wise to use warm water other than hot.
